About The Artist

To find k ritt jewelry creations, it’s not necessary to look far. They’re on red carpets and on the necks and décolletage of some of the world’s most fashionable women. Heidi Klum has one. Kristin Chenoweth and Kim Cattrall are fans.

k ritt jewelry, named for its creator, Kim Rittberg, has been featured at Henri Bendel in over 20 trunk shows. Women’s Wear Daily called k ritt jewelry an “up-and-coming brand” making its mark. Shecky’s says Rittberg is “famous for her funky designs and use of asymmetry” while whatswear.com calls k ritt works “exquisite, handmade pieces with history, touched with the loving hands of an artist.” k ritt jewelry has been featured in Playboy, “Inside Edition,” Life & Style, New York Magazine, Daily News, Newsday, Fashion Tribes, NY1 and CW11 to name a few.

Part art, part human architecture, artist and designer Kim Rittberg’s precious and semi precious gold and silver works were created to call attention to the human form and show it off to best advantage, she says. Rittberg started k ritt jewelry after a solo trip to ten countries and a year long stay in the bohemian Bondi Beach area outside Sydney, Australia. The palettes and textures of Southeast Asia, the modern art and architecture of Europe and the topographies of Australia were formative influences. Trained in the fine arts and art history at the University of Pennsylvania, Rittberg incorporates theories such as positive and negative space, composition and asymmetry. She regards the human form as a canvas and believes that jewelry can, and should be, art.
